Action for Anaphylaxis is a focused, practical course designed to give delegates the confidence to recognise and respond quickly to an anaphylactic emergency.

 

Anaphylaxis can be frightening, but this supportive, hands-on workshop equips participants with clear actions to take while waiting for emergency services. The course is ideal for environments where there is an increased risk of severe allergic reactions, including healthcare, education, and childcare settings.

 

This course is UK Resuscitation Council compliant and includes hands-on practice using adrenaline auto-injector trainers.

What's Covered

  • Recognising the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis

  • Emergency actions and incident management

  • Use of adrenaline auto-injectors (AAIs), including: EpiPen and Jext​

  • Child, baby & adult basic life support (CPR)

  • Child, baby & adult choking

  • How to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)

Duration: 2.5 - 3.5 hours

  • Each delegate receives a certificate valid for 3 years

  • Practical, interactive sessions with plenty of time for questions

  • No formal exam or written assessment

  • Certification issued via SkillBase
