2 Day Health and Safety Executive Compliant First Aid Course

Activity First Aid is a practical, hands-on two-day course designed for people who work, volunteer or take part in activities where there is a higher risk of injury – particularly outdoor, sporting or adventurous environments.

 

This course goes beyond standard emergency first aid, building confidence to manage incidents that may happen both in and out of the workplace. Training focuses on realistic scenarios, clear decision-making and practical skills, ensuring delegates feel prepared to act calmly and effectively when it matters most.

 

Delivered in an engaging, supportive format, the course allows plenty of time to practise techniques, ask questions and explore injuries and illnesses commonly associated with physical activity and outdoor settings.

What's Covered

  • Assessing an emergency situation safely

  • Emergency actions and incident management

  • Child, baby and adult basic life support (CPR)

  • Child, baby and adult choking

  • Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)

  • Head, neck and spinal injuries

  • Asthma, panic attacks, drowning and exposure to fumes

  • Unconsciousness and recovery position

  • Heart attacks, shock, electrical shock and anaphylaxis

  • Bleeding, wounds and burns

  • Injuries to bones, muscles and joints

  • Concussion, seizures (fitting) and diabetes

  • First aider roles and responsibilities
